For anyone who recognizes the title, if you can relate to the song then maybe you will find something to relate to in this blog.
Now I won't claim to be an inspirational writer or even someone wishing to be a professional writer of any sort. I will, however, say how I feel and that is that words have power. Yes, I realize this is an overused metaphor but it is valid because it's so true. Good or bad, helpful or not, talking, writing, singing or hell even just reading a random blog at some ungodly hour is not something to be taken lightly. Except, of course, when it's related to anything in or about life then you should never be too serious (Oscar Wilde reference for anyone who gets it).What I mean is the very act of writing in any way, shape or form and being able to understand what is being projected is nothing short of amazing. Just consider all the little, and not so little, things that had to happen in the universe to make it possible for us to exist. Stop for a second, and consider the unparalleled awesomeness of yourself as a human being... even if you're sitting in your jammies.
So my point with that mini rant is that people nowadays seem let's say, unaware. I'm not trying to be critical, well not critical in a negative way, it's more like constructive criticism...I hope. Well either way I've decided to join in on this blogging fad and we shall see how it goes. If nothing else comes of it, at least I've saved a few trees by cutting down on my paper usage.
Each week I will attempt to address some sort of topic (I appreciate suggestions) unless I feel like doing excerpts from my fictional writings. :)
